(CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.) — Florida Rural Legal Services (FRLS) Outreach Paralegal Stephen Schoenfeld was on hand at the Back to School Bash in Charlotte County, a significant community event sponsored by the Florida Department of Health. The event, which attracted more than 500 attendees, provided an excellent opportunity for FRLS to connect with local families and partner agencies.
Schoenfeld distributed numerous flyers and engaged with attendees, informing them about the legal services FRLS offers at no cost. He emphasized that FRLS is available at the Family Services Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays for those needing legal assistance. The outreach effort is part of FRLS's commitment to spreading awareness about its services, which are supported through a grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.
“Our goal is to ensure that community members are aware of the free legal aid available to them,” Schoenfeld said. “Events like the Back to School Bash are crucial for connecting with families and informing them of the resources they can access.” The outreach and networking efforts at the event are part of FRLS’s ongoing mission to provide vital legal support to those in need.
