(FORT MYERS, Fla.) – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has opened a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Lee County to assist Floridians affected by Hurricanes Milton and Helene. Survivors of Hurricane Debby are also eligible to seek help at the center.
Located at the Museum of Medical History on College Parkway, the DRC offers one-on-one assistance for individuals navigating the recovery process. Survivors can access information about disaster relief programs, guidance on application procedures, and updates on the status of their claims.
The center is not limited to in-person services. Survivors are encouraged to apply for assistance online at DisasterAssistance.gov or through the FEMA mobile app. Notably, FEMA does not distribute cash at DRC locations.
