(LAKELAND, Fla.) - Florida Rural Legal Services (FRLS) has released its 2024 Annual Report, a comprehensive overview of the organization’s achievements, partnerships, and impact across its service areas. The report highlights the non-profit law firm's milestones in 2024.

This past year, FRLS closed over 6,500 cases, addressing legal needs in areas such as housing law, family law, disaster relief, elder law, and more.

Key achievements of 2024 include:

  • Welcoming Leticia Medina-Richman as our new Executive Director.
  • Receiving recognition from the City of Fort Myers for our Disaster Legal Services.
  • Celebrating the opening of a new Fort Myers office location.

  • 4,400 private landlord/tenant cases closed.
  • 1,200 rental and utility assistance cases resolved.
  • 50.22% of all disaster cases involved housing issues.
