Florida Rural Legal Services Hosts Annual All-Staff Meeting in Fort Myers

· News Releases

(FORT MYERS, Fla.) - Florida Rural Legal Services (FRLS) hosted its 2024 Annual All-Staff Meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 6, bringing together employees from its multiple locations across Central and South Florida. The event provided an opportunity for staff to meet face-to-face, foster team connections, and reaffirm the organization’s mission of serving vulnerable communities.

The meeting featured engaging activities such as "Get to Know Your Coworker" Bingo and was a celebration of leadership achievements.

“This meeting is essential for building connections among our team,” one employee shared. “Working in Belle Glade has been a rewarding experience. Helping the community and raising awareness about our services is critical, especially since many residents live below the poverty line and are unaware of the support we provide.”

When the entire FRLS organization gathered, it provided an opportunity to celebrate both employees and the leadership that drives the mission forward. This year’s meeting marked the first time the team convened under the leadership of new Executive Director Leticia Medina-Richman. Reflecting on her experience with FRLS so far, Medina-Richman shared, "I am still getting to know everyone and what they do, but I can already see that people work hard and are committed to our mission."
